Of course, the best equipment in the world won’t get you anywhere if you don’t have a knowledgeable crew and customer service staff who go out of their way to make sure each job is handled as if it were their own.

GRAPHIC DESIGN
You have a product or service and now you need more customers. Or you have a message that you want them to know about. It’s time to get the word out and that means advertising. Our graphic design team will help create a visual communication that works for your brand or company. We can design any sort of marketing materials, promotions, stationery and anything that combines text and images. We’ll work with you to craft the right words, image and colours to get the results you need. We provide a digital proof before proceeding to ensure you are happy with the design.
PREFLIGHTING AND PRE-PRESS
Once your artwork is ready, we run the file through special software in a process called Preflighting. We step through a thorough checklist to ensure that your artwork will print properly. We make sure that all fonts, colours and images in the digital file are optimized to run on our printing presses. The high quality Heidelberg Prinect Digital Front End system sets up your files so that the colour and print quality will be consistent with each press run. Customers feel reassured when they know that a company will provide the same quality product or service each time. Part of giving that comfort is consistent branding in printed marketing materials.
Our Heidelberg Prinect Signa Station is one of the world’s leading prepress solutions for assembling press sheets and page imposition. It helps reduce the cost of printing by calculating how many times your artwork will fit on a larger sheet of paper. This process reduces the press run-time as well as wasted paper. Instead of printing one or two layouts per page, this software calculates the most efficient and optimal number of layouts taking into consideration different size sheets of paper and the maximum page sizes for each press.
THE PRINTING PRESSES
Once your file is optimized for print, the best printing press for the job is selected. Factors that determine which equipment to use include page size, quantity of prints, type of finishing and other job requirements.
DIGITAL HEIDELBERG VERSAFIRE CV
This is a 6-colour digital press that is perfect for short to medium print runs. The first four colours, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (CMYK) provide the standard, full-colour imaging while the last two can be spot colours or opaque white and a clear varnish/ gloss. This press uses innovative laser technology to produce razor-sharp, high resolution images. It uses a fine, colour toner that delivers high print quality and quick turnaround speed. The Versafire also features a duplexer for printing on both sides of the page. This press can handle a wide variety of print jobsup to 13” x 27.5” including business cards, labels, posters, booklets, flyers and brochures. We can even print on clings, rigid polyester or standard digital papers from 40# offset to 18pt board.
HEIDELBERG XL-75 L FORMAT WITH COATER OFFSET
This amazing, 4-colour, 23” x 29" press has a lot of automations and features to make printing faster, more efficient and of higher quality. It is a result of years of refinement in digital technology and exceptional, reliable press machinery. The Prinect Inpress Control 3 system takes constant measurements and makes adjustments to ink, pressure and other printing components. The press also features a IR (Infrared) Dryer so that inks and glossy, aqueous coatings dry quickly. Traditionally, printing presses require a lot of preparatory work to get the ink-water balance and other requirements right. In the past, this would consume a good amount of resources such as ink, paper and time. With the Heidelberg XL-75, the makeready time and clean-up time is considerably shortened. When your job is next in line, we’ll get to it quicker!
We should also add that we use Environmentally Friendly, vegetable-based inks and can print on recycled papers! Eco-friendly inks use renewable resources (plants) and don't contain Volatile Organic Compounds like petroleum based inks. This means less toxic chemicals in the atmosphere and environment and a lower carbon footprint. We're doing our part to contribute to sustainability and recycling.
HALM JET PRESS
This press is specifically designed for envelopes. It can print 1 or 2 colours at a time and can duplex (print on both sides) at once. This sturdy press can print on small, coin envelopes up to 10” x 13” envelopes at super-fast speeds.
AGFA ACCENTO II
The Heidelberg Speedmaster XL-75 and Halm Jet Press require offset printing plates. To create the plates, we use the AFGA Accento II computer to plate system. This system is fully automated and can expose up to 23” x 29” plates.
